Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health is a 364-bed advanced medical center that is home to inpatient care, surgical facilities, outpatient clinics, a blood bank and a pharmacy. It is connected to Perlman Medical Offices and includes Thornton Pavilion, an inpatient facility formerly known as Thornton Hospital. It is within walking distance of Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, Shiley Eye Institute and Moores Cancer Center. From Interstate 5: Exit on Genesee Avenue and head east. Turn right on Campus Point Drive. At the intersection, turn left to continue on Campus Point Drive. At the next intersection, you can turn right toward the Campus Point Parking Structure (across from Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center, on the right) or turn left and continue around the curve to the Athena Parking Structure (on the left). Valet parking is also available — directly in front of the main entrance of Jacobs Medical Center as well as its west entrance.
